Top Ten Baby Gifts

27 Aug

September and October are baby boom months, so themummyyears are already on the hunt for gifts with a difference. Here are some of our faves:

1. Personalised Storage Bag by thealphabetgiftshop

Great for throwing changing kit or toys into and in chic Hamptons stripes…

2. Personalised Terramundi

Handy for saving those pound coins you get pressed into your hand, and something they can keep forever

3. Bookends

It’s so nice to have some special books to read to your baby and bookends not only look cute but keep the nursery tidy as well

4.  ‘My Mum’ and ‘My Dad’ Books

Nice reads guaranteed to give new parents that warm-and-fuzzy feeling (

5. Wooden Name Train by the letteroom

6. Personalised Print from notonthehighstreet

7. Vouchers for a Ceramic Workshop

Those do-it-yourself clay imprint kits are all very well, but how many of us (a) get round to doing it and (b) if we do, end up with something worthy of the wall? Instead why not see if you can pay for new parents to have it done by a pro such as Doodles in Edinburgh (

8. Cushion or Blanket

Pick a cushion or blanket for the nursery and, to go that extra mile, get it personalised. We were lucky enough to receive this ‘Twinkle Twinkle’ cushion by door77 ( and a personalised blanket  (we love this one from bycharlottecotblankets )( which are now so treasured.

9. Designer Muslins by aden+anais

Elevate an everyday essential that most people would overlook… (

10. A Night Off

Sarah offers gift vouchers for her overnight service which means mum and dad can get some well-earned rest.
