Some days ACM is just one big drool-maki

Some days ACM is just one big drool-making machine. I can’t seem to mop it up fast enough with a muslin (his top would be soaked by mid-morning) so I decided to buy some dribble bibs. However, be warned, not everything that arrived through my door was as soft or as wearable as it looked in the pictures online…thank goodness then for Funky Giraffe (http://funkygiraffebibs.co.uk) who came up with the goods. I bought ACM this star number in all the available colour-ways! http://ow.ly/i/11T7K

OUR VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR

We tried to grow strawberries in our garden this summer. Jamie Oliver’s Grow Your Own range, no less. I think we successfully managed to pick and eat about half a dozen.

The rest went to a cheeky, fat caterpillar, who invited all his greedy mates round, every single night, for a Stuff Your Face and Eat As Much As You Like Party. Every time we checked he’d munched his way through another juicy berry, putting me right off the whole idea of growing edible stuff in our garden, since I am not very good at gardening stuff in the first place.

So instead of tending to the weeds, and watering my plants, and spraying poisonous stuff to keep the caterpillars away, we turned our attention to something else. Something we like. Something we’re good at. Painting.

This is great fun! Paint your fingertips and print away – we made ours into…

KIDS ACTIVITY – FINGER PAINTING

KIDS ACTIVITY – FINGER PAINTING.

Perseverance Pays

themummyyears is a big fan of the ergobaby carrier original. ACM has been cruising around comfortably in his since birth, and despite his size (he’s a whopping 24lbs!), mum and dad still enjoy the occasional snugly outing using it.

HTC, on the other hand, protested profusely as a newborn every time we pulled it out. We had one successful outing using the infant insert when he was tiny, but ultimately we gave up and decided it wasn’t his thing. Occasionally we would pull it back out, but after an unsuccessful few minutes trying to get him in it, it would go away and the buggy would be taken out. I found this very frustrating… having used the ergo in many jobs over the years I think it’s the most comfortable carrier around as it puts very little pressure on the user, and is super comfy for babies of all shapes and sizes.

However, we FINALLY had a breakthrough today and HTC has spent a very comfortable hour and a half in his ergo (even having a nap). I’m over the moon as I get to have snuggles with my baby whilst on the move!
